Car Delimma

In another 20 days, I will be 25 years old. And on that day, I shall fulfill one of my first dreams- ‘To be able to buy a car with my own money’. I have been preparing for this day ever since I started working. My dad did offer to buy me a car as a present when he got to know I was picked up by such a big multi-national company.

It’s funny you know? Earlier, the dilemma i faced while wanting to buy a car, was money. Now, that I have the money, I am suddenly faced with a second dilemma... ‘Which car should I go in for?’ I have already spent enough time thinking about this, talking to friends, family, colleagues, bosses, my dog... whew! But alas, that dilemma still holds ground! So help me!

My budget is 4 lac. Give or take a few Ks! I’m definitely looking for a hatch-back. My reasoning behind it is that I do mad amounts of driving in the city. I do not have a large family so I’d prefer a nice, cute, lil small car. Cars I have already looked at are The Swift, The Zen Estillo, Fabia (Too expensive!), I10, Getz, and Spark. I have also read some rumours that Maruti is coming up with a new car named ‘Ritz’! You guys have any updates?

From what I know the Ritz Diesel is a 1300cc DDSi engine 4 cylinders thrusting out 75ps power. And, the Petrol variant is a KB series 1200cc engine, again 4 cylinders with 79ps power. Sounds quite kick-ass no?
